Pelosi's Stunt with the Gas Sign

I apologize, because I don’t even know what the “stunt” was. But Rep King (R) NY is all in a tizzy about it on Fox News, and wants everyone to call Pelosi’s office and tell her to bring the bills to the floor of the House that will end the drilling moratorium.
It don’t need much reason to call Pelosi’s office and b**ch about Dem policies, so I’ve been trying for over half an hour and can’t get through.
Her number is 1-202-225-0100, in case anyone wants to join the fun.
Does anyone have info on the “stunt”?
This is something that the McCain Camp should shout over the roof, with emphasis on Pelosi's promise way back 2006 of bringing the gas prices down. I think MSM will have a difficult time to flex the truth by twisting these glaring facts.
In fact, the MSM effort to blame GOP for the prices has already started. A recent article (not sure if in Politico) concluded that both democrats and "republicans" are parties to be blamed on the gas price mess, by "doing nothing" in the last 8 years. This is just an example of MSM lies on the issue and I expect more articles by self-proclaimed economists will hit the MSM editorials.
Can't find the one that I have been very keen on.
But this one is also a good example of the growing number of articles toying the idea that republicans are a party to the price hike fiasco.

I just backed up the pos dvr from the cable co to see the clip on Fox News. Ms Pelosi is standing in front of a sign that says "Free OUR Oil!" with the phone number & email for the WH. She wants everybody to call President Bush & tell him to have the oil companies drill on the leases they have already - this is not OCS or ANWR. Rep King is ticked because she won't bring any bill up for a vote that has expanded drilling. So, he wants everybody to call Ms. Pelosi & complain. Sounds like a good idea.
Pelosi may be doing us a favor by keeping the issue in the lime light. This will certainly keep the public dicussion of drilling alive.

Obfuscate the real issue, avoid any meaningful discussion or corrective action directed at solving the real issue and blame President Bush for allowing the Democrats to hold America hostage to the failed liberal policies of the past.
Rep. King is upset because the Democratic leadership in the House has made a conscious decision to sideline all legislation that even remotely deals with energy policy for fear the GOP will successfully attach drilling in ANWR and the OCS.
Why does Pelosi fear a vote on energy legislation? I thought the Democrats were unified?
Let Speaker Pelosi know her worst fears are wholly justified....

She's just full of it! She's trying to revert the attention of the public away from her. She's trying to pin down GWB on the issue of gas prices.

Well, Pelosi is trying to project that the Administration is doing nothing.
But we all know the truth: It is not enough to issue leases. It must be supported by right fiscal incentives which can only be granted by the Congress. The lease owners were asking for the right support coming from the Congress but sadly, their requests fell on deaf ears.
By the way, Ms. Pelosi is still silent on oil drilling in ANWR.
Why is it inconceivable to liberal elites like Nancy P that her “lesser” in the electorate just might have even the smallest brain?
On the one hand, they want us to believe that big oil is all about profit and greed. But, on the other hand, this bimbo wants us to believe that these greedy, profit driven oil companies just don’t feel like drilling on their current leases. If the all knowing dems could just convince them to drill there, our energy problems would be solved. How simple!

I think she also wants GWB to open up the strategic oil reserves. It was very unclear on the Fox New segment - there was video of Nancy standing in front of her sign, but no audio, so I am not sure what she was saying. The segment was an interview with Rep King, who was pretty hot that Nancy was being the obstructionist in not letting any bill to the floor regarding drilling. So, I all am sure of is that her sign "Free OUR Oil" is not OCS or ANWR & she wants everybody to call GWB & complain. I like Rep King's idea of calling Nancy instead - stop the obstruction!
